The Easiest Beach Wave Curls For Short Hair!
These curls are so easy I feel silly even writing a post about it, but I want you to see how easy they are so you can do them too and it only takes me about 10 minutes! Being a mom of three littles 6, 4.5, and almost 1 I just don't have that much time to get ready so with these curls they will last me about 3 days and I will just touch them up over the next couple days. First off I have naturally thick and straight hair that doesn't like to curl so a curling wand is the only thing that I have found that holds a curl! This is the newer version of the one I use it's on sale right now for only $15.99 and I have had mine for over 7 years and it still works great! I like to start out with some dry shampoo this one works for me and is affordable, but I do want to find one with less chemicals, that works and doesn't break the bank, so if you have one please let me know!! Any who I like to use the dry shampoo on my clean hair to help keep my hair looking clean longer :) #momlife Then I brush through my hair with my wet brush I love this brush and my daughter loves that it doesn't hurt when we brush her hair! She uses this one as it's smaller than the average sized one and easier for her to hold and brush through her hair.
So back to the curls here we go... my secret that's not actually a secret is I only curl the top half of my hair after having kids I finally have some texture and a little bit of a natural wave underneath my hair and if I were to curl all of my short hair it would look way to big. If you have long hair curl this exact way just curling all your hair :)
I always curl away from my face and do I side at a time. I will take about an inch of hair wrap away from my face and leave out an inch or two at the bottom, that is also key for the beachy wave look!
This is what it will look like once I complete one side I let the curls stay like this while I repeat the same thing on the other side of my hair to let the heat of the curls cool down helping them hold.
I then just take my fingers and run through the curls to get that Beachy Wave look! To tame the frizz and my postpartum baby hair I always like to use a dime size of this coconut milk you can pick one up at target or your local drug store and it last forever! I have been using this for years now.
I don't use a lot of products, but this living proof dry volume blast is amazing it instantly gives you volume without having to tease your hair and it doesn't leave a crunchiness or stiffness which is why I love it so much!
And that is it SO SO easy if I can do it you can do it!! I hope this helped my son is teething so just had to quickly take the pictures for you guys and that is why he is in one of the pictures :)
